Competitor intelligence
You name the competitors. We tell you what changed.
Clearfield monitors your named competitors continuously and reports what changed, in one PDF, on a recurring schedule.

Seven dimensions, watched continuously
We track each competitor across seven fronts: pricing pages, hiring activity, product and service positioning, social presence, customer reviews, press coverage, and Companies House filings - accounts, registered charges and insolvency notices. Each capture is stored with its source and the date it was taken, so anything we report later can be traced back to where it came from.

02 / Interpret
Captures are not yet intelligence
A stored page tells you nothing on its own. Each dimension is read by an AI interpreter that pulls out what actually moved - a price changed, a role opened, a review theme shifted - and says what it points to. Absence counts too. No hiring for a quarter, no published pricing, no press at all: each of those is a signal we read, not a blank space.
03 / Verify
Checked before it is sent
Anything we assert has to survive a check. Figures are traced back to the capture they came from, sourced numbers carry a line naming the record and the date behind them, and a competitor's own wording is marked as their claim rather than our finding. Where something cannot be established, the report says so. A report that fails its checks is held for review, not sent.
The checks are partly rules and partly a second model reading the draft back against the stored data.
04 / Report
One PDF, twelve sections
The deliverable is a branded PDF, usually forty pages or so, arriving on the schedule you choose. It opens with an executive briefing covering every competitor you monitor, then a spotlight on each one, pricing and hiring analysis, a press and review digest, a side-by-side comparison, and a closing section of strategic signals and recommended actions. A methodology and data gaps section states plainly what we could not establish.

About
Built and run by one person
Clearfield is a one-person operation, and deliberately so. AI systems do the collection, the interpretation and the drafting; one person sets the method, reads every report before it goes out, and replies when you write in. That keeps it small and accountable: a question about how a figure was reached goes straight to the person who can answer it.
