Built and run by one person

Clearfield is a one-person operation, and deliberately so. AI systems do the collection, the interpretation and the drafting. One person sets the method, reads every report before it goes out, and replies when you write in.

It exists because this kind of monitoring is standing research a busy director has no time to do - seven fronts, watched across every competitor you name, on a recurring schedule that does not lapse. Software can hold that pace. A person running a business cannot, and should not have to.

Where the line between the machine and the person sits

The division of labour is not hidden. AI does the reading, the interpretation and most of the writing. Every report is then checked before it is released: rule-based checks test the figures against the data that was actually collected, a second AI pass looks for claims the collected data does not support, and a person reads the report before it goes out. A report that fails its checks is held for review, not sent.

Those checks catch a great deal. They do not catch everything, and our terms say so plainly rather than burying it.

What being small buys you

Being one person is what makes the work accountable. A question about how a figure was reached goes to the person who can answer it, and it comes back as an answer rather than a routing.

There are no sales calls, ever. You read what is here, you decide, and you buy a report or you do not. Everything else happens by email, in writing and in your own time.
